

Ida Teresa Cooper went home to be with the Lord October 5, 2012 at age 62 but not without an amazing fight against cancer. Ida recently celebrated 39 years of marriage with the love of her life Darrell Bruce. Ida is also survived by her two children, Teresa McCutcheon (John) and Gabe Cooper (Laurie), her sister Catalina McLain (Jeff), brothers Gabriel Jr Guilin (Channin), Bernie Guilin (Sharon), 5 grandchildren, Marlie, Lincoln, Major, Macie, Karson. She is preceeded in death by her parents Gabriel Sr and Edith Guilin. Ida grew up, finished her education in Blythe California and lived the rest of her life in Arizona. Ida’s heart was to serve God by serving others unconditionally. She was heavily involved raising her family and devoting countless hours to youth programs at church. Ida’s faith radiated her life; she constantly poured into the lives of others. She loved to travel with family and friends; the ocean was among her favorites. Ida’s professional career was focused in accounting. During her battle with cancer the medical field attempted to save her life when in reality she spent those days sharing Jesus trying to save theirs. She lived by “God is not bound by circumstances” and favorite verse “Be still and know that I am God“, Psalm 46:10. Her life celebration will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012 (viewing 9AM, service 10AM) at Thomas Road Baptist Church, 5735 W. Thomas Road, Phoenix, AZ 85031. Interment will immediately follow at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix.
