

Alan Efros died peacefully in his home on May 2, 2016 in Phoenix, Arizona at the age of 90. Alan is survived by his wife Ruby and three sons: Randy (Sue), David (Jackie), and Mark (Kally). He has twelve grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren and all are honored to call him grandpa. He is preceded in death by his brother Elmer Robert Efros and his faithful friend Buddy. Alan was born on June 4, 1925 in Cleveland, Ohio. He moved to Phoenix as a youth and later attended Phoenix Union High School and Arizona State College. He served in the U.S. Air Force. He was married to Marie Hansen for a few years, during which Randy was born. Later during his service with the YMCA he met and married Ruby Pearce. They recently celebrated their 65th Anniversary. His career included work in the title and escrow industry and later as an insurance agent in family businesses, including Efros Insurance Agency. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he served in many capacities. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 3102 N. 18th Avenue, Phoenix, with a viewing beginning at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend.
