Alfred, 75, of Glendale, began his heavenly journey on March 1, 2021.
He was born on September 14, 1945 in Princess Anne, Maryland, to the late Arthur and Margaret (Carter) Albion and is survived by two devoted siblings, Stephen (Margaret) Albion and Roxanne Albion; four nephews and nieces, Christopher (Rebecca) Albion, Monica Perry Guerrero, Michael Perry, and Stephanie (Paul) Okonoski; and eight great nieces and nephews.
His hobbies included playing darts, listening to country music, watching western movies, league bowling, and cheering for the professional Arizona sports teams.
Alfred was a proud member of the Bellair Community in Glendale, where he lived for over 20 years in a home located near the 15th hole of the Bellair Golf Course. Prior to 2000, he lived for many years in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin, where he was a kind and caring friend to many.
He was a dedicated, conscientious employee who loved his work, from spending many years at the Fireside Dinner Theater in Fort Atkinson to his over eight years as a grocery bagger at Sprouts in Glendale.
His Catholic faith was extremely important to him, and he was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Glendale for over 20 years. Along with attending services, the activity that he most enjoyed was his over 40-year membership in the Knights of Columbus, where he achieved Fourth Degree Knight. He loved attending the functions that were sponsored by the Knights and throughout his life he truly espoused the tenets of family, faith, and community. In 2020, the Knights of Columbus awarded him the Alfred Albion Award for outstanding service to the church and community. He will be sorely missed.
A mass will be held on Saturday, March 27th; 10:00am at James Roman Catholic Church, located at 19640 N. :5th Avenue in Glendale.
