Alice Guzman

Alice went to be with our Lord on July 31, 2019 with her two daughters, Jona and Julia by her side. She is a mother to seven children, two went to heaven before her, Johnny and Vivian. Her living children are Jona Guzman, Frank Villa (Mona-Lisa), Tom Villa, Julia Soza (Henry), and Lucy Gonzales. Alice has eleven grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Alice closed her eyes here on earth, and opened them in the presence of our Heavenly Father. O what sites to behold. She was a devote Christian; she loved Jesus with all her heart. She is now walking, running and dancing on streets of gold. Her great desire was to sing to our Heavenly Father, and now she is. Alice found great joy in making people laugh with her witty humor, and quick comebacks, she also loved talking to her sisters for hours on the phone. She spent hours a day reading her precious Bible and doing her Bible Word Search. She loved watering and caring for her beautiful garden, that repaid her with a yard full of colorful flowers. Alice also enjoyed walking her sweet dogs Mia and Mickey in her neighborhood. She had many hobbies; but she especially enjoyed her weekly hangout at park n swap and second-hand stores where she made many friends.

Alice loved her family selflessly and so deeply; there was nothing she wouldn’t do for her children and grandchildren. She loved generously, and everyone who knew her were blessed by her kind and giving heart. Alice is missed terribly. She will never be forgotten by those who knew her; and those who loved her deeply will never be the same. I will see you in heaven soon mom. I love you forever.

Celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at 9:30am-11am for visitation and 11am-12pm for service at Greenwood Mortuary, 719 N. 27th Ave., Phoenix, AZ. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St., Phoenix, AZ. Reception to follow at United Family Church, 2212 W. Maricopa Ave., Phoenix, AZ.
