

She was eighth of twelve children. Anna is survived by her brother Jesse Crist and her sister Mary Hope Huguley. The family traveled the Southwest following her dads passion for greyhound dogs which he was a trainer/owner of racing greyhounds. As a young woman Anna worked in the war effort plant in Southern California. Soon after she left California Anna moved to Farmington, New Mexico. She was working at the corner Chile Parlor when a handsome brown eyed truck driver swept her off her feet. Marvin Simmons and Anna Belle Crist were married on June 22, 1946. The following year to have their only daughter Linda Simmons Erwin and on July 24, 1948 their only son Marvin Dennis Simmons was born. They made Farmington their home until relocating to Southern California in 1963. Eight years later off to Arizona they go. Loving the desert climate they make Arizona their new home. They eventually started their own trucking company M & D Terminals. Anna Belle continued to live in Arizona after the passing of Marvin in 1988. She spent a few years in California with her daughter Linda then returned to Arizona in 2013. Anna Belle passed on January 8, 2014. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother and friend to many. She will be missed.
