

Armand Einar Bergersen, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on April 27, 2025, at the age of 88. Armand was born on February 17, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Edward and Ragnhild (Giemsoe) Bergersen. In 1954, Armand and his family moved to Phoenix and graduated from North High. Shortly thereafter he met the love of his life Jean King. Armand served in the U.S. Army where he was a sergeant in communications corps. He also worked for Pete King Painting and the City of Phoenix for many years.
Armand is survived by his loving wife Jean; his brother Eric and sister Beverly; and his three sons and their wives, Ron and Mickie, Kevin and Anne, Dale and Sherri; his grandchildren Andrew, Meghan, Derik, Peter and Zac, and his great-grandson Sam.
Armand was a kind, gentle man who died very young but at a very old age. He was utterly devoted to his wife Jean of 64 years and was a loving and endearing father to his three boys and their families. Armand enjoyed little league, scouting, Arizona Diamondbacks baseball, model rocketry, airplanes, woodworking, astronomy, games of any kind, hugs, and of course food.
A Visitation for Armand will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary, 200 West Beardsley Road, Phoenix, AZ 85027. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, with Graveside and Military Honors to follow also at Phoenix Memorial Park.
