Arthur was born in Hutchinson, Kansas, and moved with his family to Phoenix, Arizona in 1962, a place he would call home for the rest of his life. He was one of six siblings, having three brothers and two sisters.
Arthur proudly served his country as a United States Marine during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he continued his lifelong commitment to service by joining the police department in 1977, dedicating himself to protecting and serving his community with honor and integrity.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Raelene Smith, whom he missed deeply.
Arthur is survived by his children, Michael, Robyn (Sean),Tommy (Amanda),and Mary (James) and his cherished grandchildren, Lukas and Sofia, who brought him great joy and pride.
Arthur will be remembered for his strength, loyalty, and unwavering devotion to his family and country. His presence, guidance, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation in Arthur’s name.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Feb 2 at 11 am, at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary & Cemetery located at 719 N 27th Ave Phoenix Az 85009 followed by a memorial service at Aunt Chiladas at 7330 N Dreamy Draw Dr Phoenix Az 85020 from 1-4.
