Barbara Ann Hynes

Barbara Hynes passed into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father March 21, 2022, in Phoenix, AZ, one day before her 82nd birthday. Barbara lived a happy and blessed life, passing away peacefully in her sleep into the presence of our Lord, where she is now reunited with her cherished Leo.

Barbara was born in Peterborough, Ontario Canada, March 22, 1940. There, she met the love of her life, Leo Hynes. They married when Barbara was 17 and lived a blessed life together for 54 years, until Leo passed in 2011. Barbara, Leo, and their three young children relocated from Peterborough to Phoenix, AZ in 1967.

Barbara was a kind and loving mother, who with Leo’s assistance, raised three successful children: Jeff 64, Julie 63, and Jim 60. She is also survived by eight grandchildren. Her children were honored to celebrate a “life well lived” with her. Barbara’s house was the favorite gathering place for the neighborhood children who, after swimming in the Hynes’ pool, were quick to accept treats and often meals from Barbara’s kitchen.

The Hynes’ family personally thanks and recognizes the exceptional caregivers at Sun Quest Manor Assisted Living Home and the Hospice of the Valley (Nurse Jodi), who provided loving support to Barbara during her final years.
