Betty Krokosky, age 92 of Phoenix, AZ died peacefully on Wednesday September 8, 2010 in the Gardiner Home of Hospice of the Valley. She was born in New York City on October 16, 1917. Her parents were Selma and Benjamin Grayberg. She survived her 3 brothers, Freddy, Jerry and Bob, and 2 sisters Dotty and Rosella. She was married on November 25, 1956 to Joseph Krokosky in The Bronx, NY. She worked in the A&P for over 25 years as a bookkeeper and then moved to Phoenix and worked at Bank of America for over 10 years. She is survived by her son Edward Krokosky and his wife Nancy, and her daughter Benita Hankinson, her grandchildren Dan and Ben Krokosky and his wife Dana, Tracey Theisen and Shawn Tyslenko. She is also survived by the loves of her life her four great-grand children, Alexandra and Connor Theisen and Joseph and Juliet Krokosky and many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly. Graveside services will be held on Monday, September 13, 2010 at 11AM at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary, 200 W Beardsley Rd., Phoenix. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice of the Valley. They are a wonderful organization and did a marvelous job caring for our loved one.
