Billy Crowell, age 88, of Jackson, Mississippi, passed into the presence of Jesus Tuesday morning December 30, 2014. He was born to the late Walter Earl & Elizabeth Crowell June 10, 1926, at Ellison Ridge,MS. Billy graduated from Ellison Ridge High School and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He married Era Jean McGaugh in August 1946. They lived together in Jackson until 2013 when they relocated to Arizona to be close to family. Billy was a loving husband and father and was an active member of First Baptist Church Jackson. Billy served as a Jackson City Policeman for over 30 years. He is survived by his daughter Glenda of Vista, CA, his son Gilbert of Phoenix, AZ, his sister Earline, 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to First Baptist Church, Jackson. A memorial service and burial will be held at the Veterans National Cemetery in Cave Creek, AZ at 10 am Friday January 2.
