Carole L. Williams departed this World at home in her bed on Sunday at approximately 5:00 pm on April 10, 2016. She was surrounded by her husband, David and their sons, Derek and Darius. Carole was a kind, beautiful and strong willed person. She was a loving wife and mother who cared for her husband, children and granddaughter. She enjoyed reading books, going to movies, watching WTA and ATP tennis, dining out, spending time with family and friends before the severity of her Alzheimer illness took Carole from us. Carole was a sociable, gregarious outgoing homemaker that enjoyed entertaining. She also played Club Tennis in Homewood-Flossmoor Illinois, attended St. Johns Episcopal Church where she was also a Directress for the Alter Guild.
Carole was born in Chicago, Illinois on July 26, 1941 to Ike and Beulah Newton. They both preceded her in death, as did her younger sister and brother, Barbara Irving & Richard Newton. She married David on July 26, 1967 and they were never separated. They had two sons after a few years of marriage and later, a granddaughter, Tiffany L. Williams. She also had a niece, Elena, the daughter of her sister, Barbara. Carole was primarily a homemaker, but also worked as a US postal clerk and an executive secretary for the University of Chicago, until she had her two boys. She and David relocated to Scottsdale, AZ in 1995.
Carole survived breast cancer, but lost her battle to Alzheimer. In lieu of flowers, please donate in honor of Carole L. Williams to American Cancer Society (cancer.org) or www.banneralz.org/waystogive.
Poetic Poem from an unknown writer:
"God saw that she was getting tired and the cure was not to be.
So He put his arms around her and said come with me.
With tearful eyes we watched her suffer and fade away.
Although we truly loved her we could not make her stay.
The kind heart stopped beating. Working hands were put to rest.
God broke hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best."
Funeral arrangements are currently being arranged. It was her wish to be cremated like her mother and brother. Arrangements under the direction of Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services Maryvale Chapel, Phoenix, AZ.
