Charlotte lived a long and meaningful life marked by service, strength, and love. A proud member of the Navy Reserve, she embraced adventure early in life, traveling the skies and
exploring the world with a fearless spirit. When her father became disabled, Charlotte returned home and devoted herself to caring for both her parents — a true reflection of her selflessness
and strong sense of family.
As a single mother, Charlotte worked tirelessly to provide a warm and loving home for her daughter . She had a long and accomplished career, serving as a secretary at Manpower, Valley National Bank, and The Arizona Bank. She later worked alongside her late husband, Dr. Robert Clark, as an office assistant in his chiropractic practice. Charlotte was especially proud of her work at the Arizona House of Representatives, where she contributed to the inner workings of state legislation. She also served as office manager for the health magazine Vim and Vigor, and gave her time as a hospital volunteer at Baptist Hospital.
Charlotte had many passions that brought her joy throughout life — sewing, crocheting, gardening, playing bridge, and watching Judge Judy were among her favorites. She loved animals deeply and always had a loyal dog or cat at her side. A spirited traveler, she enjoyed cruises with her dear friend Bill Owen, and never missed a chance to visit the casinos, where she had a lucky streak — especially on birthdays shared with family.
Charlotte is lovingly remembered and survived by her daughter Susan, and son-in-law Doug; her grandchildren Stacey and Dean; her great-grandchildren Brittania, Christian, Wesley, Kiera,
Liam, Shelby, and Eleanor; and her great-great-grandchildren Charlotte II, Evelyn, and Quincey.
Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was deeply loved and will be forever remembered for her independence, generosity, and tenacity.
A private family service will be held in her honor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local animal shelter, Hospice of The Valley, or veterans’ organization in Charlotte’s memory.
