Charlotte was born in Lilly, PA, to Matthew and Mary Abretske. Since 1987 Charlotte has called Arizona home. Charlotte will be missed by her family, including nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Her husband of 57 years, Santo John Nigliazzo, preceded her in death.
They have three daughters, Cheryl (Nigliazzo) West, of St. Joseph, MO: Janet (Nigliazzo) and Gilbert "Rusty" Maxwell of Goodyear, and Kayanna (Nigliazzo) Dix of Buckeye, AZ; and beloved grandchildren: Zachary, Tristan and Matthew Honor of of St. Joseph, MO; Christina, Clark and Sam Maxwell of Goodyear, AZ; and Devin Ross, Joseph Nigliazzo, and Courtney Dix, with her fiance Corey Couvillion, of Buckeye, AZ. They also have three great grandchildren, Justin, Aurora, Stella, and Jadelyn.
She was one of 12 children, only one sister surviving, Veronica Grimm, from Wisconsin.
Charlotte will be missed by her children and grandchildren, who were always the focus and joy of her life. She was an inspiration to them, spiritual, prayerful, and "ahead of her time". She was creative, and loved to make others laugh. She lived her life with strength and grace, enduring even through the rough times.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Rd., Phoenix, AZ, with a funeral service commencing at 10:30 a.m. Private burial will be at Phoenix Memorial as well. A celebration of her life service will be held at a later date.
The family would like to thank Kaylee, Katie and Jenna of Hospice of the Valley for the care and compassion they showed our mother/grandmother in her final months of life, and for the steadfast care of Devin, Corey, Courtney, and Kayanna for several years.
