

Christopher "Chris" E. Lange, born on February 16, 1972, to parents Edward and Patricia (DuPont) Lange, passed away in Phoenix, Arizona on November 24, 2024. As the cherished fourth child and only son, Chris's early years were marked by his dedication as an altar boy during his time at Catholic school. He graduated from Boylan High School in 1990, embarking on a life filled with hard work and dedication.
Chris spent many years as a skilled meat cutter at Cacciatore’s Byron Food Mart in Byron before transitioning to a role as a delivery driver for SpeeDee Delivery in Rockford in 2008. In July 2022, he moved to Phoenix to enjoy the warmth of the desert winters. A devoted Green Bay Packers fan, Chris was also a proud member of the Verdi Club for over 30 years.
Chris married the love of his life, Dianna (Kastning) Miller on October 10, 2024. She finally said, “Yes!” after many years of asking. He was a proud father to his son, Andrew Lange, and a loving stepfather to Shawna Sherman. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he cherished his granddaughters, Jessie and Kailey Sherman.
Chris is survived by his beloved wife Dianna, his mother Patricia, his son Andrew, and his stepdaughter Shawna. He leaves behind his sisters Diana (Jim) Beasley and Kathy (Steve) Halbrader, granddaughters Jessie and Kailey Sherman, nieces Nicole (Josh) Noel, Melissa (Ryan) McCrea, Sarah (Chris) Childs, Bethany (Alex) Hoffman, and Alivia and Tena Lochhead. Nephews James (Stephanie) Beasley, Jason (Jessica) Gilroy, Jacob Gilroy and Owen Lochhead. Sisters-in-law Deb Gilroy, Jen (Kevin) Lochhead and Michelle Kastning. Brother-in-law Steve Knaub. His loyal companion, Lola, and lifelong friends Kyle Young and Andrew Hooker, along with friend and neighbor Tony, will forever hold his memory dear.
Preceded in death by his father Edward, sister Karen Lange, great nephew Zeke Noel, brother-in-law Fred Kastning, and mother and father-in-law Diane and Kenny Knaub.
