Cloree Luenig was born March 3, 1929 in Cameta, MS to the union of Julia Johnson and Burnett Johnson. She accepted Christ at an early age in Cameta, MS. Cloree received her formal education in Panther Burn, MS. Cloree’s work experiences were all related to her God given ability to cook. She was
an excellent cook. Cloree moved to Chicago, IL in about 1954. She worked as a chef at the Sheridan Hotel, where she later met Artur Luenig. She later moved to Milwaukee, Wi where she worked for Wisconsin Electric Company.
Cloree later moved to Phoenix Arizona and managed the kitchen at the Greyhound Bus Company until she retired. Cloree loved family gatherings, cooking for her family, playing cards with friends and family. She enjoyed planting vegetables and flowers and enjoying having people around.
Cloree departed this life Sunday, December 19, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her mother Julia Johnson and father Burnett Johnson;
Sisters: Annie Johnson, Addie Green, Prerilla Sanders, and Blossie Fortson; Brothers: Jack Johnson, Burnett Johnson, and James Johnson. Children: sons, Pythain De Johnson, Masco Morris, and Samuel Shorter, Daughter: Leanna Robinson.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories, Sons; Bruno Luenig(Pamela) Phoenix, Az; Frederick Howell Jacksonville, FL; Daughters; Nancy Prentice(Thomas), Terry Dixon(Raymond), Yolanda Luenig, all from Milwaukee, WI; Kristina Johnson, of Rome GA; Ute Thompson(Raymond) of Phoenix, AZ; Arten Park (John)Charlotte, NC. She also leaves to cherish a special nephew Lonnie Voss, of Chicago, Ill. As well, she lovingly leaves behind approximately 43 grandchildren, 99+ great grandchildren and a host of great great grandchildren.
