A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, April 21st at 11:00 AM at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85027.
Corey was born on October 17th, 1990 in Phoenix, Arizona to Rochelle Cowell and Stan Roper. Corey was the type of person to light up a room as soon as he walked in. He had a fun-loving spirit and would do anything to help his family and friends in a time of need. Corey had a love for all sports and his favorites were hockey and BMX racing. Corey's grandfather, Lyle, introduced him to the sport of hockey and he instantly excelled in the sport. Not much longer did Corey's father Stan, introduce him to the sport of BMX racing where he continued to excel in this sport as well. Corey and the family would travel around the United States to participate in races and games for said sports. Corey was known for cherishing time with his beloved family and his sweet tooth; he preferred candy and cereal over any other type of food. He loved to watch football and basketball with his grandparents, Penny and Lyle. Paige, Hailey and Corey had the typical brother and sister relationship but they loved each other without hesitation. If asked by his loved ones to sum him up in a statement, "loved by many" would be the most accurate way to describe him.
Corey was preceded in death by his mother Rochelle Cowell. He is survived by his Parent Stan Roper; Grandparents Lyle and Penny Dye; Sisters Paige, Hailey and Sydney; and countless cousins and friends.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.phoenixmemorialmortuary.com for the Cowell family.
