

Dan was surrounded by his loving family in Phoenix when he peacefully went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 21, 2014, due to uveal melanoma. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 22, 1954 to Francis and Rita McNally, the 2nd of 9 children. He grew up in The Town of Crafton, PA and earned his bachelor’s degree 100 miles away at Edinboro State University in 1979. Dan moved to Phoenix in 1985. Dan worked for the Maricopa County Assessor Office as a Commercial Property Supervisor and the AZ Dept of Revenue as a supervisor in the Property Tax Division. He retired after almost 27 years in March 2012. He will forever be remembered as the husband a woman dreams of, the perfect son, the best Grampy in the world, a wonderful step-father, the greatest brother, and as a man who made every friend feel special. He will be deeply missed for his enormous capacity to love, his infinite patience, kindness, sense of humor, intelligence, and passion for camping, hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his father Francis and brother Mike. He leaves behind his mother Rita McNally, wife Cindy, stepsons Shane and Todd Curtis ( Nicole Curtis), grandchildren Kai, Brooklin, Noah and Carsten, brothers Pat and Phil McNally, and sisters Mary (Tom Iracki), Kate ( Greg Robertson), Peggy Jarvis, Ruth McNally and Julie McNally. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to one of Dan’s favorite charities: St. Mary’s Food Bank, Wounded Warriors, Hospice of the Valley, or another charity of your choice. A memorial service will be held in the Chapel at Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary, Saturday, March 29, 2014 at 1:00 pm, located at 200 West Beardsley Road, Phoenix, AZ 85027. Inurnment will immediately follow the service.
