Dad, you are the greatest man I know and the best friend I had. I remember the great times we had and everything you taught me. I remember your hands; they were a mechanic's hands, incredibly tough and somehow always dirty. I remember the topkick empire truck you drove, I thought the crane and the tools and were like a playground. I remember the cinders, we would escape on the 500s and there was no where we could not go. I remember the "rude" Goldberg machine and my senior project when you were always there to help, but I always had to decide what to make or design. You were always right there for me, and I feel lost without you here, I don't know where to turn when I need help, who will talk to me with your calm voice and understanding. I know I must carry on but what meaning will it have without you here to see it. I don't know what else to say but I miss you, I call your voicemail just to hear your voice one more time, I have to drive the ford every day, I am reminded of you everywhere I go. I wish you were here right now so we could play catch or take ride up through Arizona, or just turn wrenches in the garage, listen to classic rock and drink beer and smoke, or just talk to you. I miss you dad, you are the greatest.

Life.....so fragile, Loss....so sudden, Heart....so broken,...in the wake of such a loss, we are haunted by things we don't, and may never understand. Yet the solace we seek may not come from answers. So we look for comfort in the belief of love's everlasting connection. May that love lift you and hold you close, and give you peace.

Dave was a great person and always had a smile on his face and in his voice. He was always here to help when needed. I am very saddened to hear I have lost my dear friend Dave Haring. We spent many long hot days together trying to sell pavers. I always leaned on Dave for advice on what to buy when I started my own company. He was truly a great man and a friend to me and all that knew him. My favorite thing about Dave is how he always said "right on" after things. Miss you buddy.

I had the pleasure of working with Dave on and off for the last 15 years and it was always a pleasure to just talk to Dave. He was probably one of the best examples of Empires values. He was always up and encourgeing even when it was a stressful situation. It is with a very sad heart that I heard of Daves Passing as he will be missed through out Empire as a friend and fellow employee that could always be depended on helping you with any situation that came up.

No two people experience grief in precisely the same way, and no one can tell you how to grieve. It is a process that cannot be rushed or avoided.
May Dave rest in peace and may you remember only the love, the hope, the spirit, the goodness, the kindness and the moments that formed his great life.

Dave was a great person,I had the pleasure of riding around a few times with him to visit customers, his customers were always happy to see him and he taught me a lot about the business.

           My family and I are deeply saddened to hear the news of Dave's passing. A man's life can be measured in many ways but the most important measure by far is the memories he created during his life and we will always remember Dave fondly. We all shared great times and hearty laughs. I learned many things with Dave as my guide and mentor at work. I learned even more by listening to his ideas and stories in life. He contributed so much to this world. His impact will never fade. His legacy is that of hard work, solid integrity, happy memories, and unwavering loyalty.
