Dawn's smile and love and Charisma of the Glow of the good Lord shall remain in our memories and hearts forever.  Condolences to Lavonne, Wade, Collin, Ruthie, and all family and friends of this wonderful Dawn.

Condolences to Lavonne and Collin and the many friends and family of Dawn.  She had such a great bubbly personality, and a beautiful smile. We met at Washington Station when she worked at the post office.  I know she fought a good fight to try and beat cancer.  May everyone be comforted by their many cherished memories of Dawn.

I met Dawn at the P.O many years ago.  On a rough day for her I pulled her aside and told her that she was a tough totum pole and she could handle anything. I had drawn her a really bad picture of a totum pole with a smiling face on top.  Dawn loved it and taped it to her case. We whispered "remember you're a tough totum pole" to each other many times. Shortly after I gave her that drawing, Dawn left a sweet angel picture at my case at work.  I taped it up to my bulletin board where it has remained to this day.  Dawn is truly a sweet angel who shared her bright light to many.  I know she will continue to shine to us all. Love, Janet (Quinn) Bradshaw

It is very evident Dawn was loved by so many and touched many hearts along her short but fierce journey here on earth.  I know that I'm not alone that just thinking about her brings a smile to my face.  As one of the Minnesota Hutz cousins, I didn't see her often but any time spent with her left footprints on my heart and memories that will last a life time.

I remember the first day I met Dawn.  She was on her way to a Halloween party dressed as a cat.  That was 31 years ago and the start of a great Girlfriend in Law friendship that got better as the years went on.  We had many memorable vacations with Collin, my grandson Taylor, Wade, myself and Dawn.  Such fun and always lots of laughs.  Then the boys grew up and now it was time for the three of us to do some fun trips.  Oh how Dawn loved Disneyland.  We had several great trips to the happiest place on Earth.  Last year before Dawn got very ill her brother and I took her to San Diego to play on the beach with my grand-daughter Caty and to Sea World.  She didn't stop smiling and neither did any of us.  It was such a wonderful trip.  That was in October and in December of last year we had another fun filled trip.  she helped Wade and I celebrate our 30/make up 29 year anniversary and it was the best time ever.  As we sat watching the Electric Light Parade Dawn became very cold but would not go inside for fear she would miss it, andfor her that was not going to happen.  We decided to share our jackets and put our arms in each others jackets and we sat there watching the parade hugging, but we were warm and she got to finish watching the parade.  That was such a special time because she leaned over and whispered sister to me.  Over the past year, even though she became increasingly sicker, she still had that wonderful sunshine smile and we became even closer.  Her last week before she went into Hospice, her mom, Dawn and I all went for her last pedicure.  The girls at the shop loved her excitement after her nails were painted with flowers.  She loved how they looked.  I Love you Dawnie and will forever miss you; your kindness and caring of others and that wonderful warm smile.  Someday I will see you again and we will plan on Angel Kissed Pedicures.

So many cherished memories of our sweet GAMD.  That is what she was known as in my family, Grandma, Aunt, Miss, Dawn.  She was my Postal Mom, but like a big sister, Godmother to my daughter and a very dear friend to us all.  We have traveled together, celebrated many holidays & birthdays together.  One favorite trip with Lisa to Rocky Point while watching Roger Clyne playing on the beach in the pouring rain.  Another time we laughed so much we were in pain after, we had gone to see Stephen Lynch, a singing comedian.  We always had a good time.  She had the biggest heart and always a smile.  Not a day will go by that I won't think of her and wish she were here.  Eventhough I was supposed to be the one responsible to change her diapers when she got older.  Collin, we are always here for you.  ❤❤❤

Listening to the 80's, remembering the nights on the golf course, cruising metro in the beaner cruiser and dancing in the pickle dresses. There was always a good time waiting for us. Keep the beat Dawn!

I am so glad that I had the pleasure of being Dawn*s Mom. She was not only my daughter but my friend. We had some interesting adventures and travels. No matter where she was she never met a stranger. Dawn was always positive and had a smile for everyone. She loved being a Sunday School teacher at CCV and made many friends while she attended church there. She had a strong belief in God and practiced her faith everyday. As she was getting close to the end of her life she would say she wanted to "go home". Now she is in heaven and waiting for the rest of her friends and family to meet her there. She will always live in my heart.

Dawn, I preferred the name "gorgeous" because that was the person I saw inside and out. When I met Dawn, I wasn't a talker, and she picked up on that right away. She would talk to me between our cases, getting answers like, yep, nope. One day she really caught me off guard, and started singing "O'Danny Boy". At that moment, I knew I had found a true friend that wanted nothing from me but friendship. I could go on and on, but this has already run to long. So, Dawn, I LOVE YOU my friend. Thank you for being a part of my life, making me a better person, and bringing light, smiles, and love, to every person, and animal that has crossed your path. God had a job for you here, and you fulfilled it. Now you have a job that is worthy of your love.

We've known each other for more than 20 years. We met at the post office, but our friendship quickly grew to "family status" I will always think of you as my " little sister" the one who my mother would say was "her favorite"!?! You usually gave "pet names" to your friends and loved ones. At times, it would be difficult to know "who" you were referring to. As for me, I was known as  "Pooh bear" You had a knack for making everyone around you feel comfortable and completely loved.  "Pooh" feels lost in the hundred acre woods without you.  I miss you, but I'm thankful your suffering here is over and your busy giving "nicknames" to everyone in heaven! I look forward to our reunion one day little sister!

Dawn has always been such a positive role model in my life. No matter what the circumstance was she would find a way to be positive about it and I will always admire her for that. I'm glad that I had such a wonderful aunt like her and I miss her dearly.

My beautiful Aunt Dawn, you will be missed dearly! Thank you for always being there for me and being my cheerleader! Not a day goes by that I don't think about you. My life is forever changed because of you! I hope God blesses me with a daughter one day so she can carry on your name as her middle name. 

Thanks for being the greatest Aunt a niece could wish for!

This is a lovely gallery of pictures. Dawn was such an "alive" person. We are so sorry she had to leave us early...but lucky for her, she's gone on ahead!

I still haven't quite processed that Dawn is gone.  Dawn was that special cousin who always made you smile and always had a smile waiting for you.  I remember getting so excited during the summers when she'd come to Wisconsin to spend time at Grandma's and being able to be around for some of those shenanigans and especially our family reunions!  I never knew how many new ear piercings she would have, what kind of oddball purse she would bring with, what kinds of clothes she would be wearing, the music she'd be listening too, etc.  At least the rest of that summer, I'd be listening to "her" music (queue the Go Go's, Cyndi Lauper, Bananarama).  To my Phoenix family, though the loss we feel is great, the memories we hold onto are greater.  Hugs and love to you all.
