Dennis ‘Mike’ Bremer was born in Portland Oregon on September 19, 1942, to Ivan Maurice Bremer and Dorothy May Leonard
On June 25, 2025, Mike was lifted up by God to join him in his kingdom. Mike will be laid to rest at Paradise Cemetery in Paradise, Ca.
When Mike was very young his mother’s 2nd marriage was to Gary Pugh. Gary & Dot moved Mike, his older brother and sister to Santa Barbara. Mike began school in Santa Barbara, Ca and finished grade and high school in Independence, Oregon. After high school Mike immediately joined the US Army and served honorably for 4 years, mostly in Korea, where he trained to service medical and dental equipment. Shortly after discharge from the army Mike went to work for a Dental Supply Company (L.D. Caulk). Mike met and married Kathy while working for LD Caulk in Sacramento, Ca and they had a daughter, Tracy. Their marriage was soon dissolved.
When Mike met Phyllis in Oroville, Ca she became his wife for the rest of his life. Mike and Phyllis moved quite often in those restless early years. They started their lives in Portland and Salem, Or. but quickly moved to Spokane, Washington. Then onto an adventure in Anchorage, Alaska and welcomed their daughter, Tabitha. Still on the move they spent time in St Joseph, Missouri. Landing back in Salem they were blessed with their son Kelley. Another trip back to Spokane, Wa,and during a short time in Yuba City, Ca their 2nd daughter, Teresa was born. A few more moves before they found their forever home in Paradise, California and completed their family with their 2nd son Kurtis. They lived in Paradise for 41 years until most of the town burnt down from The Camp Fire. They relocated to Phoenix, Az for the remainder of their time together.
Mike was a “Salesman” born and bred. He saw himself as a Professional Salesman and loved his job selling office Equipment & Satellite Systems, but his true love was Advertising. He excelled in his trade with not only his knowledge and talent but with that twinkle in his eye and a persuasive personality that only the best salespeople possess.
Mike enjoyed many things. He and Phyllis hunted in Montana, Fished in Oregon, Bowled in St Joseph and Golfed in Paradise and they Danced and He sang, with his beautiful voice, everywhere along the way. He loved to be on the lake and spent many summers boating with his family on Lake Oroville. He was a great Mr. Fix-it, BBQ chef ‘extraordinaire’ and always, Mr. Congeniality.
Mike was a truly kind, generous man and a loving Husband, Dad, Grampa, Brother, Uncle and Friend.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Phyllis Ann Meeker Bremer, their four children: Daughter Tabitha Ann Gant, son-in-law Bobby, grandsons Isaac and Cameron; Son Kelley Michael Bremer, daughter-in-law Jennette, granddaughters Renee and Joy, grandson Kyle; Daughter Teresa Ann Lundburg, son-in-law David, granddaughter Kayla; Son Kurtis Michael Bremer, daughter-in-law Jessie, granddaughter Kenzie.
