

We are saddened to share the unexpected passing of Dennis Sorrenti, beloved resident of Tempe, Arizona, on August 9, 2025. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Walter and Frances Sorrenti.
Dennis was a loving father to his son, Natan, and is survived by Natan and his mother, Rhonda, a dear friend and companion through the years. He is also survived by his brother Walter, his sister Maryann, and their families.
Dennis proudly served in the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he pursued part-time studies at Brooklyn College while working part-time jobs. Eventually, he relocated to Arizona, where he began a distinguished career as a firefighter with the City of Tempe. He served his community with bravery and dedication throughout his career.
In his younger years, Dennis loved playing baseball and softball. As an adult, he found joy in hiking, exploring the outdoors, and staying physically active. Known for his quiet demeanor, Dennis often surprised those close to him with a dry wit and thoughtful insights on current events.
In retirement, Dennis enjoyed watching sports and westerns, reading the newspaper, walking, and browsing for new gadgets. He especially cherished his quiet mornings, often spent enjoying breakfast at McDonald’s.
A man of generosity, Dennis supported numerous charities throughout his life. In honor of his giving spirit, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
Dennis has been laid to rest with honor at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
