

Donald grew up in Chicago, Illinois, alongside his sister, Shirley. He graduated from North High School and pursued a career in plumbing. After five years of dedicated study, he earned his journeyman status and became a proud union pipefitter with Local 469. Following a successful career, Donald continued to work for an additional ten years at the County Hospital in Phoenix, serving as a plumber and building maintenance man, where his skills and strong work ethic were deeply appreciated.
In 1981, Donald met the love of his life, Joyce, and they were married on September 15, 1984, at Valley Cathedral Church, beginning a life together built on love and faith. The couple shared a passion for travel, enjoying cruises to Alaska and Hawaii, as well as many trips to California, Texas, and wherever they could visit family and friends.
Donald and Joyce were blessed with a blended family of four children: Daughters Lisa and Dina. Step Sons Danny (Karol) and Timothy (Debbie), 7 grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren all of whom brought immense joy to their lives.
Donald was greeted in heaven by his parents and his son Anthony , sister Shirley, and he leaves behind his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who will always be remember for his dedication to Christ Jesus his Savior devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather,whose family will cherish his memory.
A committal and celebration of life service will be held at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary & Cemetery, located at 719 N 27th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85009, United States. The service is scheduled for January 12, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 12:30 pm.
