

Ellard Earl Logsdon, age 94, of Mesa, AZ, passed away on June 25, 2016. He was born on January 16, 1922 in Elgin, Kansas to his parents Joseph and Aesta Logsdon; living his life from Kansas, to California, to Phoenix, AZ, and then to Mesa, AZ at Happy Haven Care Home. He fell and broke a hip, which led to stress; causing his heart attack. He then slipped into Eternal Rest with those whom had gone before him. That being his Father, Joseph Logsdon and Mother, Aesta Byrum Logsdon, first wife, Alva, also his loving wife of 50 years, Una Melvina Logsdon, his son, Ellard Earl Logsdon Jr., two most loving sisters, Eula Brown and Evelyn Campbell, son-in-law, Theodore "Teddy" Johnson, and Grandson, David Johnson. Ellard served in two armed forces, the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army; and was very proud of his time in the service. He was a carpenter for 40 years until he became disabled due to a work related accident. His most mentionable accomplishment was the Grady Gammage Theater Staircase. He is survived by two daughters, Joanne Johnson and Patsy Barnes (Dick), five Grandchildren, four Great Grandchildren, five Great-Great Grandchildren, many Nieces and Nephews, a "faithful" adopted son, Armando Cuellar, Donna Adams, his Ex-Wife, who has been entrusted by his family members to see to his care for 15 years and so loved by Earl until his death and forevermore. Thanks to the caregivers, Aurelia, Augusto, Esteban, and chair buddy, Ellert.
