Ellen Ann Rojas

June 2, 1947 - October 11, 2021

Ellen Ann Rojas, 74, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on October 11, 2021 with her family by her side.

She was born in Springfield, Illinois on June 2, 1947 to Lawrence Riechman and Casimira Zych. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Phoenix.

She was a cheerleader, hair dresser, operator, store manager, animal lover, and union president. Her greatest and most impactful role was as a strong, inspiring, humorous, and loving mother. She is survived by her four children: Michael Rene Rojas, Anthony Rojas, Rose Rojas, and Matthew Rojas.

Her life was a living example of her favorite saint’s, Padre Pio, quote, “Pray, hope and don't worry. Worry is useless. Our Merciful Lord will listen to your prayer." She was a devout believer and follower of the Sacred Heart.

She is missed and loved immensely

A rosary service for Ellen will be held Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services – Maryvale, 6901 West Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ 85033. Following the rosary service will be a graveside service from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Holy Cross Cemetery, 9925 W Thomas Rd, Avondale, AZ 853952.
