Elton Louise (Hines) Young

Born November 10, 1919 in Tyrone New Mexico to Ellen Minerve (Gold) Hines and William Edgar Hines (Ed). She had two older sisters, Cornelia (Connie) and Alma and an older brother, Moir. The family moved to Mesa, AZ approx. 1922 where Elton grew up. She attended AZ State Teachers College and graduated with a BA in Education.

During college she met her future husband, Lawrence LeRoy Young Jr., Larry.
