Eric Carl Houg

Born in Postville, Iowa, April 7, 1960, to Carl and Evelyn Houg. He graduated from M-F-L Community Schools in Monona, Iowa. Eric retired from the City of Peoria after 20 years.

Eric will be regarded as a man of humor, quick-wit, and his selflessness toward others. His girls were his greatest joy, and spending time with them was the heart of his existence. Every moment shared with them was his most treasured gift. His life was rooted in his Christian faith as a member of the West Olive Church of Christ.

Eric was preceded in death by his beloved Mother Evelyn Houg and sister-in-law Luisa Houg.

Eric is survived by his wife of 36 years Bridget Houg (Mastrangelo), His father Carl W. Houg; two daughters, Tiffnie Talboom (Tim), Sara Houg, and granddaughter Callie Vuckovic. Addition to his girls; two brothers, Chris and Barry (Lisa). Two sisters; Deb Houg-Mckee and Liz Moon (Randy). In addition to many friends and family, who were touched by his love.

The family expresses their sincere gratitude to St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center- Transplant Clinic staff for their wonderful care and compassion.

A celebration of life for Eric will be held on March 15, 2025 at 10:00am at Church of Christ of West Olive 10935 W. Olive Ave., Phoenix, Arizona 85345
