With sad hearts we regret to announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, and loving wife Esperanza (Hope) Lara. Hope was born in Brawly, California on February 28, 1931, and passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 91. She was a dress designer in the garment industry in California in the seventies, a devoted grandmother, an avid animal lover who always donated to various animal charities, loved to go dancing and enjoyed 75 years of marriage with her beloved husband Art.
She is survived by her husband Arthur Lara, son Arthur Lara, Jr. (Angie Lara), daughter Elizabeth Britt, granddaughter of Jennifer O’Halloran (Mike O’Halloran), grandson Kyle Britt, great-granddaughter Chole and great-grandson Michael O’Halloran, Jr.
A Celebration of Life Service for Hope will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 East Greenway Road, Phoenix, AZ 85022 with her burial service following at 12:30 p.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024
