Eugene Jesus Lopez Sr.

Gene was a spiritual and respectable, hard-working gentleman. He was truly a wonderful husband to his wife, Gloria and was a great dad to their five children. He was an amazing grandfather of six and a new great-grandfather to his 11-month-old great-grandson. Gene was a brother, an uncle, a Godfather and a friend.

Gene graduated from St. Mary’s Catholic High School in Phoenix, AZ. He was a U.S. Army veteran, worked in the grocery business, was a U.S. Post Office Letter Carrier for thirty-two years and a St. Jerome’s Catholic Church Parishioner.

Gene is survived by Gloria, his wife of 60 years, his sons Eugene Jr.-(Rachel), Gabriel-(Anna) and his daughters Alicia-(Peter), Felicia, Jessica, his grandsons Nicholas-(Alexis), Halen, Michael, Logan, Luke, one granddaughter, Lucy and one great-grandson, Joseph Gabriel, sister Lupe. Gene is preceded in death by Michael Peters, Son-in-Law.

Viewing will be held on April 27th from 5:00-7:00pm at Shadow Mountain Mortuary. Mass will be held on April 28th at 11:00am at St Patrick’s Catholic Church, 10815 N. 84th St, Scottsdale, AZ. Funeral Services will be held immediately following at the Veterans National Memorial Cemetery, 2929 E. Pinnacle Peak Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85024.
