

Eugene Jonas Neff was born on January 27, 1924 in New Philadelphia, Ohio and passed away on November 1, 2010. He was a WWII veteran and a member of the 71st Division. He was a Master Mason for 50 years. He and his wife Doris have been married for 64 years. They have two children, a son Roger (Mary Lou) of North Olmstead, Ohio and a daughter, Debbie Clement of Cave Creek, Arizona. He is the grandfather of Tom (deceased) and Karen Neff, Alison (Mike) Wilgus, Ryan, Christopher and Chad Clement. He is the Granddad to Patrick Wilgus. Gene and Doris met at Wooster College in Ohio and raised their family in Fairview Park, Ohio. They moved to Phoenix, Arizona in 1971. He worked for the City of Phoenix as a Court Administrator. Gene's passion for his family went beyond his immediate family. In retirement he relentlessly pursued his family history and genealogy, connecting with thousands of new family members and writing two well researched books on the Neff family. A Memorial Service will be held at the Mountain View Presbyterian Church, 8050 E. Mountain View Road, Scottsdale, Thursday, November 4 at 4:30 P.M.
