Floyd Harold Hanson, 92, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2012. He was born in Minnesota, but the majority of his life was spent in Arizona. Floyd served in the U.S. Army during World War II. After the war, he began his career as an Electrical Lineman with the IBEW until retirement. Floyd loved his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, watching baseball, and was a U. of A. basketball fan. Floyd was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Jim and Diane Philips, granddaughter Carrie and husband Jason Schwyn, and great-grandson Jack Schwyn. The family would like to thank Dr. Sam, the nurses, and caregivers at Hospice of the Valley Banner Thunderbird for their compassionate care and support. Services and burial were held at the National Memorial Cemetery.
