Fortino C. Lujan

On April 6, 2024, at 11:20 pm he lost his long battle to Alzheimer’s Dementia Disease and took his last earthly breath to be gathered with his Heavenly Father Lord and Savior.

Fortino was preceded in death by his loving wife Martha Lujan, parents Eusebio Lujan Betancourt, Maria Leonides Cruz Castillo, his brother Javier Lujan Cruz, and sisters Maria Lujan Cruz, Emma Lujan Cruz and Maria Lucila Cruz Lujan.

He is survived by his loving siblings Reyes Lujan Cruz, Maria De Los Angeles Lujan Cruz, Maria Alicia Lujan Cruz, Petra Lujan Cruz. His legacy and honor continue with his adored children Paul Jesus Lujan, Monica Lourdes Gallardo and Dennisse Maria Lujan Moreno, his seven grandchildren Brittany, Alec, Labricio, Zechariah, Isabela, Sebastian, Benicio and six great-grandchildren.

Fortino worked as an accountant, jewelry salesman and retired from being a baker after over 30 years. After he retired from baking, he began working part-time in the cafeteria for Maryvale High School which led to his final retirement.

Fortino was a God-fearing, strong, humble, selfless and loving provider for his family. He alongside his wife made the sacrifice to immigrate to the United States to raise their three children in hopes of a better life. It was at the Evangelical Baptist Church where Fortino was ministered to which led to his salvation in Jesus Christ.

He was devoted, volunteered for events at his local church, and was always uplifting to others with his beautiful laughter and smile. He was a remarkable provider to his family and remained strong in his beliefs.

He loved being around others and socializing. Some of his hobbies were gardening and making some of the best salsa in the state of Arizona. He loved traveling to visit family and was an extraordinary man who acted like an ordinary man. His commitment and love for his family and friends will continue to grow for generations to come. He will be deeply missed by family, friends and all who knew him.

A viewing for Fortino will be held Monday, April 22, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Evangelical Church, 2925 W Polk St, Phoenix, AZ 85009. A celebration of life will occur Monday, April 22, 2024 at 11:00 AM, 2925 W Polk St, Phoenix, AZ 85009. A graveside service will occur Monday, April 22, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary, 719 North 27th Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85009.
