Fran was born to Joe and Mary Smid in Chicago, IL. “Smiddy” was a long-time parishioner of Sts. Simon and Jude where she was active in parish council. She enjoyed a successful career working for State of Arizona and the Catholic Diocese of Phoenix.
Fran was preceded in death by her daughter Lisa and son Mark. She leaves behind her daughter Julie Parrish-Fender (Dave) of Grand Junction, CO and son Steve Parrish (Maria) and grand-daughter Camille all of Phoenix, AZ.
A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, May 13th at A. L. Moore-Grimshaw, 710 W. Bethany Home Rd. Rosary at 1pm and service beginning at 1:30. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Arizona Humane Society, 1521 W. Dobbins Road, Phoenix, AZ 85041.
