Frank Di Carlo went to heaven on September 14, 2021. He was born on February 15, 1933, in Montemaggio Belsito, Sicily. He was a devoted and loving husband to his beautiful wife, Diane, and a wonderful, one-of-a-kind, father to Gino and Antoinette. He was blessed with four grandchildren: Kristina, Gabriella, Francesco and Lilian. Frank grew up in a wonderful and loving family with his father, Biagio, mother, Antonina, and siblings, Pina, Giovanni and Domenico. Frank came to Chicago, Illinois, when he was 25 years old with $50 in his pocket and the American dream. He began working for his Uncle Tony in his restaurant the day after he arrived from Italy. He soon met and married the love of his life, Diane, whom he was married to for 61 years and was from his hometown in Sicily. He worked hard to learn the English language while learning the ropes of running a restaurant. He soon bought the restaurant, Roman Holiday, from his uncle and began to work tirelessly to build his business and provide for his family. He and his wife worked side by side for over thirty years dedicated to each other and taking care of their family. Frank was a generous, loving, hardworking and caring man. He always put God and his family first and was grateful for all of his blessings in life. He will be missed, but never forgotten, by all who knew him.
