Dearest Gary, thank you for loving me and being my big brother who cared for me when I was sick. Thank you for all the love and laughter we shared.  Thank you for being my friend. Thank you for ny nieces nephew and great nieces and nephews. Thank you for Barbara . Every word written and by Shaye,Marie, Meg,Barbs,sums you up sowell. If I were to add anything it would be to say I am so very proud of the job you and Barb did raising your children! The love kindness and wisdom they have shown thru all of this reflects your own loving kind and wise hearts I know you are very proud of them also! I love you very much Gary! You will greatly missed! My hope prayer and belief is you have found perfect peace rest well big brother I believe you will Peace Love Mary Lynn

Gary passed away at 7:20 PM on November 5th, 2014 after losing a long held battle with liver disease. He spent his last hours in a beautiful space in Central Phoenix. Shortly before his passing, he was visited by his loving daughter, Meghan and Grandchildren, Stephanie, Elizabeth, and Mackenzie. Gary was born in Grand Rapids, MI. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and he was a proud graduate of Davenport University. Gary moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1996 and shortly after his Wife and Children joined him to start a new and exciting life in the Southwest. His hard work and unconditional love afforded Gary and his family many great fortunes far beyond anticipation.

Gary had many titles in life that gave him the source of his greatest pride and motivation. As a Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Godfather, Friend and Mentor he blessed many with the opportunity to feel his unconditional love, gratitude and generosity. 

Gary is survived by his 3 children (and their significant others): Marie Thomas (Shane), Shaye Potts (Calida), Meghan Potts (Adrian), 6 grandchildren: Stephanie Parnell, Elizabeth Clement, Mackenzie Clement, Michael Thomas, Damian Soto, Christian Soto and Amiel Garcia – Potts. As well as 3 Sisters: Theresa Marshall, Linda Potts and Mary Potts.
