Georgine Stone

Georgine Stone (Iverson) of Glendale, AZ was born on July 18, 1930 in Milwaukee, WI. She was a graduate of Juno High School in Milwaukee, WI in 1948. Georgine married Robert Stone in 1959. They remained together for almost 63 years until his death on January 23, 2022. Together they raised 3 children, Carrie, Craig (Jill) and Dean (Julie), 10 amazing grand children (Leslie (Byron), Justin (Sheri), Sydnie, Jordan (Nolan), Sarah (Matt), Missy (Michael), Kristin (Beau), Katie, Emily (Jake) and Shane, and was blessed with 10 great grandchildren (Lillie, Kennedy, Gwenyth, Easton, Kai, Reagan, Emery, Kayden, Kameron and Skylar).

Georgine was passionate about her family. She didn’t miss a football, basketball, baseball, gymnastic, softball or volleyball game of her kids or grand kids. Georgine was a member of the Silver Sneakers. She loved going to GCC to “work out” and sometimes have lunch afterwards with her friends. She also enjoyed a little black jack at the local casinos, shopping, going out to eat (favorite place Carolina’s), concerts (Frank Sinatra), several plays and musicals and all the family events.

Georgine joined her husband in heaven and was received into the loving arms of her Savior on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 surrounded by her three children. Preceded in death are her parents Oscar and Ellen Iverson as well as her brother Donald.

Services will be held on Monday, October 6th at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85022. Visitation is from 9:00am-10:30am with the services immediately following. Entombment will be a private family ceremony. Celebration of life will continue after service at private residence.
