Harold Robert Schroeder

Schroeder in Gibsonburg, Ohio. In 1950, he graduated Bloomdale High School in Bloomdale, Ohio. After receiving a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Indiana Technical College in 1953, Harold served Stateside in the Army at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland during the Korean Conflict. He married the late Bernardine Marie Pekarofsky in 1954 with whom he had 5 children. In 1984, Harold married the late Rose Marie Larsen who had 3 Daughters that he lovingly embraced as his own. Harold was a member at Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Sun City, Arizona.

As an Engineer the things he designed, or invented could fill 3 obituaries but the highlights include:

the common shaft dual, counter rotating torpedo propeller,

self healing gas tanks for Military vehicles, and

the inverting crane. Harold was a big brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be missed by his:

sisters: Lois Deleruyelle (Ottawa Ohio) , and Sharon Swain (Mesa, Arizona)

children: Bob, Cindy, Mark, and Jeff Schroeder

step children: Lynn Burgardt, Lori Larsen, and Lisa Young

grandsons: Matthew, Eric, Robert, Alan, and Jay Schroeder, Ryan Schroeder

granddaughters: Mandi Odle, Maggie Boersma, Madella and Melissa Schroeder, Roxanne Quinn, and Phoebe Schroeder

step granddaughters: Rachel Rice and Christine Ferguson

step grandson, Brian Young

great grandsons: Logan, Jayden, and Kolton Schroeder

great granddaughters: Kaylee, and Emily Odle, Madelynn and Isabella Schroeder

Harold was preceded in death by:

sister: Lucille Hathaway

brother: Dwight Schroeder

son: Jim Schroeder

The memorial service begins at 10:30 am.

Committal service for the family will follow at 1:30 pm at:
