Horace J. Porter of Glendale, Arizona passed away on January 31, 2024 at the age of 75. Horace was born on September 1, 1948 in Yuma, Arizona, the son of Horace Porter and Pauline Petersen Porter. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda. After his graduation from the University of Texas Austin in May 1972, Horace and Linda lived in San Antonio, Texas until moving to Phoenix, Arizona in 1976. Horace became a partner at Murray & Murray Accounting firm as a CPA. In 1993, he accepted the position of CFO at Consumer Credit Counseling Services. Upon retirement, he and Linda enjoyed traveling. A lifelong Lutheran, he remained strong in his faith, a member of Life in Christ Lutheran Church.
A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 2:00pm at Phoenix Memorial Park, 200 W. Beardsley Road, Phoenix, AZ 85027.
