Jackie E. Nunley

In the early morning of Thursday July 13th, 2017 surrounded by family: Jackie E. Nunley, age 85, entered the gates of heaven. Born November 4th, 1931 in Coalmont, Tennessee to Robert and Grace Nunley.

The first of seven children, Jackie loved adventure. As a young boy he would explore surrounding towns. He joined the Army before 18 and traveled cross-country becoming a respected entrepreneur. A poet at heart he wrote several songs, enjoyed gospel music, horse racing and playing Keno.

Survived by his wife of 65 years Hallie Louise, along with their children: Tina Weiss: husband Karl. Children, Kimberley Black, husband Josh: Children, Graison, Nolan and Emily. Kristen Hass, husband Travis: Children, Tyler and Carter. Kara Childs, husband Nick: Children, Cayden, Hailee, Jameson and, Oct 17’, Nixon Jack. . Larry Nunley. Rick Nunley; wife Olivia: Children: Christopher, Wife Cassandra; Child Charlotte. Lindsey Nunley, Taylor McGinlay: Child Rowan. Rikki and Shelbi Nunley. Tammy Storteboom, husband Scott: Children Katie, Amy Smith, husband Tyler and Ryan, wife Tara. Wendy Knipp, husband Wally; Children Aaron and Ashley Knipp. He joins is eldest son Jackie Michael in heaven. Survived by his Children: Tom Nunley, wife Kelly, Mason Nunley and Mary Nunley: Children, Zayden and Elijah.

A fiercely proud man, he felt honor in being a Korean War Veteran, working hard to provide for his family and honoring his word. Often would find Jack joking around and singing.

Survived by his siblings: John Hardy, wife Marlee, Amy Mae Sargent husband John, Roger Lee, wife Jan, Earl Dean, wife Kathi and Judy Ann Knott, husband Dooley. He often spoke about family events and the special bond with each of his brothers and sisters. Jack felt the love and continued support from everyone back home. He joins his brother Robert Eugene in Heaven.
