James Albin Graves

He is survived by his wife Carol Leone Mallicoat Graves; his children: John Andrew Graves and Judith Anna Graves Stallings; his grandchildren: Amber Raine Barnett Bretsch, Benjamin Abraham Barnett, William Joseph Sorter, Brian James Sorter, Belinda Jean Barnett Warner, Brittany Ann Graves, Lauren Ashley Graves, Michelle Lynn Stallings, Daniel Brighton Graves, Jonathon Robert Graves, Jacob Anthony Graves, and Ethan Andrew Graves ; his great-grandchildren: Ryan Gabreille Merlina, Anthony Michael Merlina, Ashley Nichole Merlina, Tara Elizabeth Young, Chelsey Cassandra Barnett, Allicyn Lois Barnett, Dylan Joshua Barnett, Sydney Marie Dillon, Grace Marie Sorter, Anna-Marie Elizabeth Sorter, Mason Kennedy Garner, Walter Edward Madison Warner, IV (Oshua), Aaron Conner Hasty, and William James Graves; and great-great grandchildren: Skyler Merlina, Marissa Merlina and Donald Hughes.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wilma “Mary” Albin Graves and William Everett Graves; his brother Bill Eldon Graves and his sisters Veda Graves, Dorothy Mae Graves; his sons William Franklin Barnett and Edward Lee Barnett; and his grandsons Caleb Sloan Barnett and Joshua Cody Barnett.

He was born on November 5, 1931 in Wallace Idaho to Wilma “Mary” Albin Graves and William “Bill” Everett Graves. His family moved to Phoenix in 1935 where he resided the remainder of his days. He married his lovely wife Carol in 1958. They have been married 57 years! His children remember him as being a strong man of God who encouraged them to follow their dreams and to believe in the grace of Jesus Christ and the promise of a beautiful heaven. He was loved by many and he was very proud of all of his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and even great-great grandchildren. He will be missed, but all who loved him are assured that he is in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ.
