We had many fond memories of United Laboratories trips with Carol and Jim.   We had a big time on these trips with Alexanders, Fleeners and Singers.   Jim loved listening to Dicks many jokes.   They called one another often and compared notes on selling chemicals along with the latest joke.    After the guys got older and slowed down on sales we started going on some trips with just Carol and Jim and enjoyed them very much.  I think Jim loved life and a good cigar. He had a ready smile and concern for each person.  God bless you Carol.  Give me a call I would love to hear from you.

Hack and I were Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity Brothers.  He and his parents were very kind to Kathy and I when we lived in New Jersey  just after Graduation in 1963.  We were often invited for Sunday dinner in Hackensack.  Hap took us ocean fishing and Hack loved being the tour guide for Manhattan.  
I remember a visit with he and Carol in Phoenix just after a122 degree day when airplanes could not take off.   Hack said No Problem when you have A/C and a pool.
I will remember fun times and lots of laughs.
Carol,  Hack,you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Jim, commonly referred to as "Hack" was a fraternity brother of  mine.  We both belonged to the Theta Kappa Phi, National Catholic Fraternity, at Missouri School of Mines (MSM) in Rolla, MO.  Jim graduated with a BS in Engineering and spent his career in the Chemical Products industry.  He is fondly remembered by his many fraternity brothers and the legacy his father (also an MSM graduate) left with the "Order of Cardinal Mercer".  This organization was the foundation of the Theta Kappa Phi fraternity on the MSM campus.  My wife Kay and  I had the opportunity to renew my relationship with Jim during annual trips to attend Mariners baseball spring training in Peoria, AZ.  Jim and Carol were great mentors during my recovery from an appendicitis operation in Scottsdale, AZ in  2013.   We sincerely offer our prayers and condolences to Carol and her family in the loss of a husband, father and good friend.
