

James, “Jimmy” Lopez, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away peacefully on August 29th, 2025, at the age of 82. Born on October 11, 1942 in Phoenix, Arizona, he was the cherished patriarch of his family.
Jimmy married the love of his life, the late Dolores Lopez and together they built a life full of love, family, and lasting memories. Jimmy was the proud and devoted father of five children: the late Esther Kinnett, Diana Flores (Steve), Alex Lopez, Daniel Lopez, and Michael Lopez.
Jimmy's’ legacy lives on through his many grandchildren and great grandchildren: Kaci Manzanedo and Zachary Kinnett; Steven Flores, Miranda Green, Alexis Aguilar and Mónica Lopez; Stephanie Siverand, Danielle Chavez, Daniel, Nathan, Aubrey, and Jacob Lopez; and Monique, Marissa, Michael Lopez and 10 great grandchildren. He was known to them as their “Tata” and addressed as “Uncle Jimmy” by cousins, nephews and nieces.
Jimmy spent 33 years of his life dedicated to working for Salt River Project retiring in 2008. He loved his family, holiday gatherings and being surrounded by friends and family
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Jimmy’s life will be as follows: Visitation on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 8:30 AM at St Gregory Catholic Parish Hall 3424 N. 18th Avenue Phoenix Arizona 85015. Funeral mass at 10:00 AM at St Gregory Catholic Church. Burial immediately following at Holy Cross Cemetery 9925 W. Thomas Road, Phoenix, Arizona 85392.
