James Wymer Westbrook passed away December 6, 2013 in Phoenix. Born August 20, 1964 in Oakland- he was a diehard Raiders fan. Wymer grew up in both the San Francisco Bay area and Flagstaff. As a young Boy Scout he enjoyed backpacking and the outdoors. He graduated from Flagstaff High School in 1983 and remained in Flagstaff, enjoying life with family, friends, and his pet lizards. In 1997 he moved to Phoenix to live with his parents. During his adult life he faced many health challenges but was fiercely independent whenever he could and always looking forward to his next outing to the Renaissance Fair or Disney Land. Wymer loved his cats which were his constant companions, knew hundred of jokes by memory and had an impressive collection of movie tapes and dvds with many favorites. He is survived by his parents James L. and Shirley Rae Westbrook, sister Linda Rae, brother in law Paul and many close cousins. Many friends and family members helped with Wymer's care and their love and companionship were greatly appreciated by Wymer and his family.
