Janet W Liffiton

Janet Liffiton passed away peacefully on May 18, 2013. Janet resided in Ahwatukee, AZ. She is survived by her daughter Nancy Breon and husband Mike, of Kailua, Hawaii, son David Bartram and wife Tamie of Poway, CA and niece Kim Rolfe and husband Rick also of Ahwatukee, as well as several nieces and nephews scattered on the east coast. Janet was married to her dear departed husband Kenneth Liffiton and survived by his three adult children Kimberly, Lou Ann and Robert Jr. all living in Arizona. Janet was also so fortunate to be survived by 9 grand children and 4 great grand children. She was born Janet Casson in Longmeadow, Massachusetts on May 13, 1930. She was the only girl in a family that included 3 loving and protective brothers. Janet was married to Ernest S. Bartram in 1947 and began raising a family in Milford, CT. Due to her health reasons Janet and Ernie moved to the dry heat of Tempe, AZ with their 4 children; Nancy, Gary, David and newly born Dianne. The family flourished in Tempe and Janet became an entrepreneur and ran a small business in the 70’ and into the late 80’s. In 1989 her husband Ernie passed away and a couple years later her youngest daughter Dianne tragically passed away. In 1994, Janet married the “love of her life” Kenneth. Her oldest son Gary passed away much too early at age 50. Kenneth passed away last year and she is now joined with him again. Janet will be remembered as a loving and caring person that was full of life. She was religious and spiritual and loved to travel. Her feisty spirit will be greatly missed by all of us! In loving memory, Mom we all love you and already miss you. A Memorial Service will be held 9:30am, Monday, June 17, 2013 at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 3500 E. Knox Rd., Ahwatukee, AZ 85044 followed by Interment at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, 1562 E. Baseline RD., Mesa, AZ 85204. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Janet Liffiton’s name to Y OPUS, 1030 E. Liberty Lane, Phoenix, AZ 85048 or donations can be sent to Hospice of the Valley, 15150 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014. The Liffiton family entrusted Carr-Tenney Mortuary, 2621 S. Rural Rd., Tempe, AZ 85282 with final arrangements.
