Janet Elaine Blanck Ludwig, beloved mother, grandmother, friend and servant of Jesus, went to her eternal rest on Friday, December 31, 2021, following a short hospital stay. Janet was born on February 4, 1940, to Alberta Blanck, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1959, she married Russell Ludwig, whom she survived. They were divorced in 1978. Janet is survived by her three children: Russell Blanck (Khue Ngo) of California; Susan Henderson of Phoenix, Arizona; Ann Sueyoshi (Fred) of Glendale, Arizona; grandchildren Nicholas Henderson, Jacob Henderson, Hanalei Sueyoshi; and great-grandson, Colton Henderson of Arizona. Janet worked full-time at Honeywell for almost 30 years, while raising her three children as a single parent, and obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree. She then worked at Kohl’s for over 10 years. Those workplaces gave her a living, but her Christian service as a Bible student, Sunday School teacher, missionary to the Navajo Nation and a multitude of other services to others, gave meaning and joy to her life. Janet was known and loved as a generous, loving, devout Christian woman whose last weeks of life were filled with baking Christmas cookies, making soup suppers for her Bible study group, and delivering food bags to the homeless. We grieve with Janet’s family, but rejoice that we have been inspired by a life fully and beautifully lived. A celebration of life will be held at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 1500 West Maryland Avenue Phoenix, AZ 85015, on April 2, 2022 at 10:30am, with a luncheon to follow. Wear bright colors! Janet was especially fond of purple and green. In lieu of flowers, consider a donation to The Bridge to Hope @ https://b2hope.org/donate/
