

Jeanne Cooper Morton of Surprise, Arizona passed away September 29. Jeanne was born in a log cabin in Morgan County Ohio on July 27, 1934 to Graham & Thelma (Pernell) Cooper. Jeanne was a lover of reading and was a past co-editor of the Zane Grey Review. She retired from Phoenix Union High Schools after a long career at Alhambra High. Jeanne taught the 2 year olds Sunday School Class for over 30 years at Bethany Bible Church, Phoenix. She was married to the love of her life, Paul Morton, who preceded her in death. Jeanne leaves behind two daughters, Lynette (David) Ellis, Phoenix; Lori (Scott) Rigler, Gilbert; seven grandchildren: Meghan (Eric) Boardman, Joshua Ellis, Andrew (Betsy) Rigler, Karlie Rigler, Brooke Rigler, Rachel Ellis and Rebekah Ellis; 3 great grandchildren, Aubreigh, Makynzie & Aaron Boardman; her brother Karlen (Tina) Cooper, McConnelsville, OH; her sister, Verna (Dick) Carins; Estes Park, CO. Viewing will be held at 1 pm on Monday October 9 with a service immediately following at 2pm. Phoenix Memorial Park & Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Rd. Phoenix.
