Jeffrey Edward Garrett

61, died suddenly on January 1, 2013. Jeff was born on July 16, 1951 in Philadelphia, PA. He was a graduate of the University of San Francisco in 1973 with a degree Political Science. Jeff spent 25 years in the brokerage business, starting with Dean Witter/Morgan Stanley in 1980, moving to Waddell and Reed. After semi retirement Jeff began working at The Arizona Republic. He is survived by his wife Cynde, Tempe, 2 children; Elizabeth Kriel, Alexandria, MN. and Michael Garrett, Aliso Viejo, CA. brother; David Garrett, Scottsdale, sister; Laura Flesche, Littleton, CO. Son and daughter in law; Nathan Kriel and Amy Garrett, 3 beloved grandchildren; Reese, Lilly and Stella. Jeff is preceded in death by his parents Bob and Sue Garrett A celebration of his life was held on Jan 5th at King of Glory Lutheran Church, Tempe. The family requests any donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley in memory of his loving mother Sue Garrett.
