

Jack leaves behind his beloved wife of 51 years, Frances Meaney; Marian (Cookie) Gannon, his daughter and her companion, Mark Dyda of Phoenix, Arizona; John Meaney Jr., his son, and his wife, Kathleen Meaney of Charlton; his brother, Raymond Meaney; his brother, Jim, and his wife, Marcia Meaney, who reside in Florida. Jack also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, and grandchildren.
Jack was preceded in death by his daughters, Tammy McCormack and Teresa Meaney; his son, Jimmy Meaney; his brothers, Pete and Robert Meaney; his son-in-law, Keith McCormack; and his granddaughter, Jessica McCormack.
Born and raised in New York, Jack and his wife briefly moved to Arizona in 2006 until moving back to New York in 2012, where they felt they belonged. He and his wife remained frequent travelers to Arizona and North Carolina to visit family.
Jack was an army Veteran, and served in the military from 1961-1964 as a combat engineer. He was a retired printing pressman, and during his retirement, he enjoyed driving the school buses for handicapped children who attended various school districts.
Sports played a significant part in Jack's life as he had been a lifelong fan of all Boston teams, especially the Boston Red Sox. He loved to garden and took pride in supplying his family with all of their vegetables for years. Jack truly loved his family, making everyone laugh, going to baseball games, playing golf, and eating his cookies.
Memorial Services are to be determined by Jack's family at their convenience.
