

Jon was born on August 31, 1955, in Phoenix, Arizona, to James Stanton and Jeannette Coe Stanton, and he made Phoenix his lifelong home. His life was marked by love, dedication, and devotion to his family.
On August 17, 1974, Jon married the love of his life, Debra Ellen Stanton, and together they shared 51 wonderful years of marriage. Their journey was one of true partnership, built on love, loyalty, and laughter.
Jon leaves behind his two children, Jonathan Ray Stanton and Michelle Lee Stanton; three grandchildren, Christian, Nathan, and Malia; and two great-granddaughters, Carmella and Ilyanna Chavarria. His legacy of love and family continues to live on through them.
Beyond his family, Jon had a lifelong passion for classic Volkswagen buses. Through this hobby, he formed countless friendships across the country and around the world with others who shared in his enthusiasm. His love of restoring and appreciating these vehicles connected him to a community that meant so much to him.
Jon’s career with Schaumaplast brought him close to key colleagues here in Phoenix, as well as in Germany, where he formed genuine connections that transcended work. Those relationships were a source of pride and friendship throughout his life.
Jon was known as a loyal, caring person who would go out of his way to help others. His kindness, generosity, and genuine heart left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Services will be held at Greenwood Memory Lawn Mortuary & Cemetery in Phoenix. Date and time are to be announced.
