A Tribute to Kathleen Mangus
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Kathleen Mangus who left us peacefully on February 18th, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on June 27th, 1936, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. Kathy had 12 sisters and brothers. At the age of 19 her and Richard met on a blind date, soon after they married and had four children. In 1971 they moved across the country with their children to Phoenix, Arizona. She was a beacon of love, kindness, and strength.
Kathy was a devoted spouse to Richard Mangus Sr., and a loving mother to Richard Mangus Jr., Mark Mangus, Debbie Mangus-Cyment and Dan Mangus. She cherished her family above all else and found joy in the simple pleasures of life—whether it was dancing in the kitchen while having a glass of wine making spaghetti sauce, sitting on the patio watching the birds, a cup of tea with a peppermint patty or cooking amazing meals that brought everyone together.
Her legacy is one of unwavering love, compassion, and resilience. She was an active member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, later joining All Saints Lutheran, where she dedicated her time as the treasurer. Kathy was proud to have worked as a controller for the Williamson Group.
Kathy leaves behind a family who will forever honor and celebrate her memory. She is survived by her children, Debbie Cyment and husband Stewart Cyment and Dan Mangus and wife Janet Mangus, Daughter in Law, Delores Mangus, sister Isabelle Grace, thirteen Grandchildren and eleven Great Grandchildren.
Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Rest in peace, dear Kathy. You will be profoundly missed, but your love and light will continue to guide us.
