Kenneth Donald Pfalzgraf was born on December 7, 1944 in Fon du Lac, WI. After a brief stint in the Air Force and various occupations Ken found his calling with the Phoenix Fire Department on 12/9/1974. He dedicated 35 years to the department retiring in 2009. While on the job Ken collected a lifetime of memories, commendations, and awards. During his career he amassed an impressive collection of firefighter related memorabilia that reflects his love for his work.
Ken married his soulmate on April 4, 1997 and was a loving and caring husband. When he was not working, he was happiest spending time chatting over a beer with his youngest daughter and her husband, drinking coffee and eating donuts on the weekend with his nephew-in-law while scheming up new diy plans for both their households, or reminiscing about his days on the fire department to any and all that were willing to listen.
On Tuesday, December 26, 2023, Ken was quietly and peacefully reunited with his late wife Molly. He will be remembered by his firefighter family for his comradery and by all who loved him for his big smile and easy-going nature.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Bernice Pfalzgraf, sister Margene Bergstrom, and wife Molly Pfalzgraf.
He is survived by brothers Jim (Judy) and John (Sue), niece Kristen (Roger), and his children Shannon, Leora, Kenda, Eric, and Wendy (Skylar), grandchildren (1 honorary), and great grandchildren.
